CSI Kingswood
The Science Department recently organised a ‘CSI Kingswood’ event for students in Year 9.
Students used real forensic science techniques to solve a crime – an aggravated burglary! Techniques included DNA analysis, fingerprint detection, blood splatter analysis and shoeprint chromatography.
A mock trial at the end of one day led to a conviction!
Students thoroughly enjoyed the day and learnt a lot about forensic science and the jobs of Scene of Crime Officers and lawyers when solving a crime.
