We have just received our second Silver Award from Sam Learning Go! Who say that the award is “in recognition of the tremendous hard work which your students and teachers have achieved since the start of this academic year.”
Kingswoodstock is a celebration of The Kingswood School's Arts specialist status. Incorporating events from Arts disciplines - Dance, Drama, Music, Media and Art, the festival is one of a kind in the East Midlands and beyond.
There are still 8 places available for the London Oylmpics Trip. The tickets are for the Men's Football quarter final at Wembley and the Men's Table Tennis team quarter final, on August 4th-5th 2012.

At a recent Parent Forum meeting, parents asked for an explanation to be given regarding our Effort Rainbow, so here it is.
Following our successful trip to Atom Music Live (a convention for music students), the cover of Cee Lo Green’s ‘Forget You’ recorded in Rock Hopper Studios by a group of Kingswood Year 10 BTEC Music students has gone live on Access to Music’s YouTube channel.
Year 9 student, Sinead Hyldon, took part in the Irish Dancing World Championships in Dublin over the Easter holiday.
We were delighted to hear that our own Year 11 student, Kayley Macleod, was chosen as this year’s Senior Carnival Queen at last Friday’s selection night at the Grampian Club.
During the recent holiday a group of 24 students, led by Hayley Copas, visited New Hampshire on the school’s annual Ski Trip. This was the first time we had taken the trip out of Europe to the USA.
The Year 10 Parents’ Evening will take place on Tuesday 15th February 2011. We hope that parents will be able to come to school to meet their child’s teachers and discuss their child’s current progress.

The final preparations for the Sixth Form trip to the Gambia are now in full flow! One of the main aims of the visit is to help with the start of the renovations to The Penyem Health Centre.
Recently, The Kingswood School students put their design, technology, engineering and maths talents to the test in a one-day challenge sponsored by Tomorrow’s Engineers and set by educational charity, The Smallpeice Trust. Working in small groups, the event was designed to enhance students’ aptitude for problem solving, creativity, design and engineering and was especially geared to complement to the National Curriculum.
