During our fundraising for the Gambia, we contacted the Corby Rotary Club in the hope of them supporting our efforts. An application was made to the club by Andy Butler, Founder of the Northampton Trustee Fund, and David Tristram. The club then invited us to join one of its meetings to explain about the project.
Our Day Out - Year 11 BTEC Diploma - May 8th, 9th and 10th 2012
Willy Russell wrote Our Day Out in 1977, about a bunch of underprivileged scouse schoolchildren who are shown a day of compassion and care by their dedicated teacher.
On Tuesday 24th April 2012, thirty two Kingswood students from Years 10 through to 13, attended a national Armed Forces Careers Day at Chetwynd Barracks in Chilwell (Nottingham).
The Music Department is excited to announce that as of Wednesday 2 May 2012, our NUMU site – Kings-Fi Recordings – has enhanced its membership to include video uploads for students.

On Thursday 19th and Friday 20th April, after months of preparation three Kingswood students travelled to Oundle School for the annual Oundle Festival of Music and Drama to compete in instrumental and vocal classes.
On Friday 30th March 2012, Bourne House held a fundraising day for the charity the Association for International Cancer Research (AICR). This organisation is an independent charity whose aim is to support fundamental research by eminent and promising scientists throughout the world, into the causes and prevention of cancer.
Our Maths department has put together revision notes and examination questions for Year 11 students to be working on over the Easter Holidays. There are resources for both foundation and higher level students.
Kingswood Live Lounge 2012 is the only auditioned event in the Music calendar. It encapsulates a unique, year-long experience created and organised by Year 11 BTEC Music students as part of their Unit 3 assessment.
Last year we were asked to nominate someone in school who we thought should be awarded the Rotary International Young Citizen Award.
On Tuesday 14th February 2012 a group of Kingswood Staff and students led by Faye Austin, Head of Geography, set off for the third time to the Gambia to continue their work in Penyem Village.
