  • Year 7 Football Success

    On Thursday 29th November 2012 the Kingswood Year 7 squad of Carl Curtis, Corey Ironmonger, Mark Webster, Finlay Gray, Jake McMichael, Jai Sawyer, Henry McAuley,  Aaron Callaghan, Ben Cross and Alex Campbell travelled to Montsaye School in Rothwell for the final of the District 7-a-side competition.

  • Sportshall Success For St Patrick's

    A fantastic sportshall athletics event took place at Kingswood on 22nd November 2012. Two schools took part in exciting fun filled track and field events run by the outstanding Kingswood sports captains.

  • Cross Country Championships

    The first District Cross County Competition was held on Monday 19th November 2012 at West Glebe Park.  All of the Kettering and Corby schools were represented with around 60 runners competing in each race.

  • BBC Question Time

    As you are aware the school was closed yesterday as it was used as a polling station for the Corby Local Elections. However, there was action in the atrium as the BBC 1 programme Question Time was broadcast live from here last night.

  • Sports Captains Lead The Way

    Well done to our Year 11 Sports Captains who have completed a UK Athletics Sportshall Level 1 award. The course was delivered by Adam Burgess of UK Athletics who commented on the enthusiasm and effort of our Captains. Adam said ‘they were a credit to the school’ and he would like to use them to help run the ‘County Championships’ in February 2013.

  • Kingswood’s Got Talent Final

    Organised by Year 13 Business students Tanya Burnett, Michelle Mirkovic, Bethanie Donaldson and Mollie Gracie and judged by Annette Moffat, Sally Harris, Gareth Thomas and Erin Craig, this year’s Kingswood’s Got Talent was a great success. Over 150 tickets were sold for the final show in which the audience voted Year 7 student Kara Hamer this year’s winner!

    The grand final of ‘Kingswood’s Got Talent’ will take place on Friday 19th October 2012 from 6.00 – 8.00pm in the Main Hall.  Tickets cost £2 and are available from Helen Nicol, Vocational Department.

    Like many schools, we woke this morning wondering what this year’s crop of results would bring and are delighted to report that 79% of our students achieved 5+ GCSE grades at A*-C and of course there were some splendid individual results.  Pride of place must go to Megan Plowman who achieved A*s and As across the board. Well done, Megan!
