Congratulations to Kieran Manson and Aidan Smith in Year 8. Both of these students have been nominated by the Kingswood PE staff for their outstanding potential in rugby. They now have East Midlands rugby trials at Moulton College on Sunday.

The quiz held in school on Friday 1st February 2013 was a fundraising event to raise money for Penyem village, Gambia. The evening was very successful with over £320 raised to help the village build a flushing toilet block for the school.

Congratulations to our Year 10 girls’ basketball and football teams who successfully commenced their latest fixtures with a winning streak. Their back to back fixtures didn’t dissuade from their competitive nature and excellent team spirit, as this allowed them to claim victory in both sports.
The textiles department urgently needs any old sheets/duvet covers that can be cut up and used in our projects for all year groups. It doesn’t matter if they are plain or patterned or in a variety of colours. Also we would be grateful to receive any buttons/wool/ribbons etc, as these are always welcome, as are catalogues.
Year 13 Students stage a Prom Fayre & Fashion Show
After months of planning and hard work Klejda Cupi, Stephanie Ross and Lucy Berrido staged a Prom Fayre as part of their A Level Business Course with the support of many local businesses as well as staff and students of the Kingswood School.

We would like to thank everyone for their patience and support during the last week. The recent adverse weather conditions left us with no other option than to close the school for safety reasons.
The second of this year’s Interhouse Tournaments took place in the last week of Term 2 with all houses scoring points, resulting in Glennie pushing up the league.
Welcome back to the start of a new term and a new year. This is always a busy term and one which will go very quickly for students in Years 11, 12 and 13 as they prepare for their examinations later in the year.
In the first Level 3 School Games Competition of the 2012/13 academic year, the Corby, Oundle and Thrapston School Sport Partnership hosted the Northamptonshire School Games ESFA Competition at the Kingswood School, Corby.
Termly reports will be issued today (Thursday 20th December) to Year's 7,8,9,10 and 13. Year 11 reports were issued yesterday and Year 12 at Parents' Evening last night.
In the spring and summer a group of young people from the Kingswood School took part in an exciting regional project to discover more about the farming heritage of Northamptonshire.
We break up for our Christmas holiday on Friday 21st December 2012. On the last day of term students will be allowed to wear non uniform for a donation of £1. The money raised from this day will be donated to our Gambia appeal.
