Year 11 into Sixth Form: Summer Transition Work

As we approach the summer break, we want to emphasise the importance of the summer transition work assigned to our students. This work is crucial for several reasons:

  1. Preparation for New Challenges: The tasks are designed to prepare students for the upcoming academic year, ensuring they are ready to tackle new subjects and the increased academic rigour of Sixth form study.
  2. Continuous Learning: Engaging in educational activities over the summer fosters a habit of continuous learning, keeping students' minds active and curious.
  3. Self-Discipline and organisational skills: Completing summer work teaches students self-discipline and organisational skills, which are  to become a success at post 16 level.

We believe that summer transition work is an integral part of a successful Post 16 student; please find the necessary documents and instructions below. We ask that the tasks are completed for the subjects chosen by the first week of September.
