Kingswood Live Lounge

Tuesday 26th March saw the much anticipated return of the annual Live Lounge music show.  Just as a reminder, this is the show that is planned, produced and evaluated entirely by the Year 11 BTEC Music students as a major piece of assessed work.

The Year 11 students warmed up their audience early in the day by putting on a Mezzanine show with a sample of acts. This prompted more requests for tickets which had unfortunately already sold out!

The evening itself was very well run and contained a wide variety of music acts from across all year groups. All of the acts had already taken part in an audition process.  It was really great to see new faces on stage hinting at the wealth of talent within our walls.

The courage and quality on display was very moving, with several acts bringing people to tears – for the right reason!

Over £300 was raised from ticket sales and refreshments sold during the interval.  The money will be donated to ‘CLIC’ which is a charity helping children and young people with cancer.

A huge well done to everyone involved and especially the Year 11 organisers – time to get your evaluation heads on!
