A Level Music Soirée

On Thursday 10th November, Kingswood held its first A Level Music Soirée, where students studying Music at A Level performed to an invited audience for their Unit 1 and Unit 4 coursework.

Students in Year 11 stewarded the event and all remarked on the high standard of performances. Here are two reviews by Year 11 students:

'The A Level performances were amazing. Each performance was different and unique from each other.  Most pieces were performed from memory. It was great to listen to and I can not wait until I'm in it and playing amazing pieces.' - Josh Reilly

'Ross's performance was amazing. He showed a wide range of skills.  He showed confidence in playing and remembered the piece very well. I also thought he showed a lot of compassion and emotion whilst playing. Cameron's performance was very good. I like how he played two songs that people know. He was very confident in his performance and he showed that he had worked on his pieces.  Malachai's performance was amazing and it was nice the way he showed a wide range of skills.  It was unusual to see him play something that wasn't his own. He showed a lot of compassion in his playing.  Charlie played two amazing pieces. He showed a wide range of skills and was confident with his instrument. Hannah chose an amazing song and showed a wide range of vocal skill. She ended the night on a high. Overall I think that they all performed amazingly and they showed a confident attitude.' - Emma Cassie
